The paper presents the results of a multimember climatostratigraphic subdivision of the Pleistocene and Holocene reference sequences of the North-Western Caspian Sea Region. The studied sections located in western Terek-Kuma Lowland (Pleistocene sequence near the Otkaznoye Village; 44° 19'N and 43°51'E), and the Low Volga Region (Holocene sections near the Solenoye Zajmishche Village; 47°54'N, 46°10'E). Submitted data on Quaternary stratigraphy and environmental reconstructions are based on results of multidisciplinary study (palynological, paleomagnetical, paleopedological, microteriological, radiocarbon dating etc.) of the Pleistocene and Holocene sediments. The reconstructions and correlations of the all climatic events of interglacial, glacial, interstadial, stadial rank in the Brunhes epoch of normal polarity as well as the twenty-six phases in evolution of climate and vegetation during the Holocene are discussed in detail.
