Based on lithochemical modules ratio evaluated with the use of “Yudovich-Ketris Standard” (U-K Standard), it was shown the predominance of petrogenic thin alumosilicoclastics in the Karuyarva suite. It was proven the chemical composition’s similarity of the West Timanian Riphean terrigenous rocks (Chetlas series (Svetlin, Novobobrov and Vizing suites) and Anyug suite) and the Karuyarva suite (Kilda series of Sredniy peninsula). Study of the average trace elements concentrations in all petrographic types of rocks of the Karuyarva suite in Sredniy peninsula showed that terrigenous rocks have higher Ni, Co, Ti, Cr, Rb, Zr and Ba concentrations, while carbonate rocks are characterised by high Сu, Mn and Ba and relatively high Cr, Ni and Co concentrations. As demonstrated by similar study of the average trace elements concentrations in all petrographic types of the Karuyarva suite as well as normalized on chondrite spectrums of REE distribution in slates and argillite, the element source of the rocks were the compounds of complex and heterogenous composition, mainly the rocks of acidic petrofund.
